Mr. Imad Makhzoumi completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering and Water Resource Management at the University of Southern California in the United States and holds a diploma in Business from McGill University in Canada. He is a member of the American Business Council in Dubai, a founding member of the Dubai Capital Club and he is the President of the International Desalination Association (IDA). He is also a frequent speaker and panelist on a number of industry forums and conferences including WETEX, NACE and PMI.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Makhzoumi spent several years in the pipe business in the USA and Canada working through various disciplines, departments and ranks.
Mr. Makhzoumi joined Future Pipe Industries in 1989 as an Engineer. In 1994, he assumed the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the UAE and became Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the GCC and Asia in 2005. In his current role as the Senior Vice President for Group Sales & Marketing, he is responsible for leading the global sales and marketing team to ensure the Group’s global revenue and market share targets are met.
In addition to his role as Senior Vice President for Group Sales and Marketing, Mr. Imad Makhzoumi was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Future Pipe Industries Group in February 2009. In this role he is responsible for directing all of the company’s operational and commercial activities for the four key functions of the company, namely Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, Technical and Engineering Developments and Supply Chain Management, as well as the Country Heads.
