Dr. Omar Ashur completed his undergraduate education in Physics at the American University of Beirut and also holds a MBA in Finance, a MA in Business Economics and a PhD in Business Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Future Pipe Industries, Dr. Ashur held various leadership positions with Petrogas (UK) Limited, Anglokindom (UK) Limited, Mediterranee Investors Group SA, and Citibank.
Dr. Ashur joined Future Pipe Industries in 1995 as a Group Vice President of Finance and became Chief Financial Officer in 2003. As Chief Financial Officer of the company, Dr. Ashur is responsible for leading and directing the financial management processes and policies to ensure that all financial transactions are treated appropriately and accurate, compliant financial information is available in a timely manner to support management decision-making.
