    • Future Pipe Industries Group secures order in Libya

      10th January 2010

Dubai - Future Pipe Industries Group (FPI), the global leader in the fiberglass pipe industry, has announced that it has secured yet another order in Libya, this time for the supply of its Fiberstrong™ Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester (GRP) pipe systems to the Libyan Housing and Infrastructure Board (HIB). The total contract value is USD 2 million and only constitutes the first phase of the project.

This fiberglass pipe system will be used for infrastructure works in the city of Ajalat in Libya. The project was commissioned by the Libyan Korean Construction Co on behalf of the Housing and Infrastructure Board (HIB) and falls within the scope of the plan to upgrade all infrastructure networks throughout Libya, which comprises approximately 220 cities. The ordered fiberglass pipe material ranges in diameters from 700 up to 1200mm.

Future Pipe Industries’ Fiberstrong™ pipes can be used in a wide range of applications for both underground and aboveground installations, including seawater intake and outfall lines, chlorination systems, seawater cooling systems, water transmission lines, district cooling pipe systems, potable water trunk lines and irrigation pipe systems and various sewer or drainage pipe systems. Fiberstrong™ pipes are ideal for use in coastal areas and are available in diameters ranging from 80 mm to 4000 mm.
