    • Applications

Fiberstrong™ pipes can be used in a wide range of applications for both underground and aboveground installations, including seawater intake and outfall lines, chlorination systems, seawater cooling systems, water transmission lines, district cooling pipe systems, potable water trunk lines and irrigation pipe systems and various sewer or drainage pipe systems. Fiberstrong™ pipes are ideal for use in coastal areas.

We also manufacture a wide range of storage tanks made out of Fiberstrong™. These tanks can be used for the storage of petroleum products, water and a wide range of chemicals depending on the resins used during the manufacture of the tanks. For highly corrosive media, tanks can be manufactured with vinylester resins either in the inner liner on the tank or throughout the tank wall. Nominal capacities of up to 115,000 liters and diameters up to four meters can be produced.

      Product Range

The diameter range of Fiberstrong™ pipes and fittings ranges from 80 mm to 4000 mm. Pressure classes are available up to 25 barg. and the maximum design temperature is 50ºC for polyester resin and 82°C for vinylester resin.

    • Manufacturing Process

Our Fiberstrong™ pipes are manufactured from a thermosetting polyester or vinylester resin fiberglass reinforcement using the filament winding technique and, occasionally, pure silica sand filler.

Most of our factories are capable of producing Fiberstrong™ pipes, although the maximum diameter of the pipes varies from facility to facility. For example, our factory in Gulfport, Mississippi is capable of producing pipe up to 4000 mm in diameter and in lengths of up to 12 meters, whereas our factory in Lebanon is capable of producing pipe of up to 2800 mm in diameter and in lengths of up to 12 meters.

      Competitive Advantages

      • Relatively lightweight - low transportation costs
      • Easily and rapidly installed
      • Durable under harsh conditions
      • Anti-corrosive - will not leak due to aggressive soils or ground water
      • Requires minimal or no maintenance, painting or cathodic protection
