Fiberstrong™ RP plant piping
Fiberstrong-RP ™ pipe are a restrained piping system designed for installation underground without thrust blocks, or above-ground in pressure applications. FRP Pipe are manufactured from a thermosetting Polyester resin, continuous and chopped fiberglass reinforcement (RTR-type).
Future pipe's Fiberstrong-RP diameter pipe are filament wound using state of the art continuous or helical filament winding equipment at its Gulfport, MS plant which are capable of producing pipe in lengths of 20 ft for sizes from 3" through 12", and in either 20 or 40 ft lengths for Pipe 12" through 158".
Standard Fiberstrong- RP pipe is provided with a 0.04" (1.0 mm) thick resin-rich reinforced liner.. All pipe and fittings are provided with plain ends for butt-wrap (lamination) joints. Butt-wrap joints are tensile-resistant. Maximum service temperature is 95°F .Temperature limits vary with fluids transported. Consult FPI. Service temperatures up to 125°F are permitted with appropriate de-rating of the pressure class. For service temperatures above 125°F, Fiberstrong RV pipe manufactured from Vinylester resins are recommended. If required for indoor piping, fire-retardants can be added to the resin formulation. Fiberstrong pipe is approved for potable water service by NSF.
The standard pipe pressure classes range available for both buried and aboveground pipe is shown below:
