Fiberstrong™ RV Vinyl Ester plant piping
Fiberstrong-RV™ Large diameter fiberglass pipe are manufactured from a thermosetting vinyl ester resin, continuous and chopped fiberglass reinforcement.
Future pipe's large diameter Fiberstrong-V pipe are filament wound using state of the art continuous filament winding equipment at its Gulfport, MS plant which is capable of producing pipe from 16" (400 mm) up to 158" (4000 mm) in diameter in lengths of 40 ft (12 m) and longer.
Standard Fiberstrong-RV pipe is provided with a .04" (1 mm) thick resin-rich reinforced liner. Pipe may also be supplied with an extra-thick 0.1" (2.5 mm) resin-rich reinforced line for extremely corrosive service. All pipe and fittings are provided with plain ends for butt-wrap (lamination) joints. Butt-wrap joints are tensile-resistant, allowing pressure pipe to be installed above ground, or underground without thrust blocks. Maximum service temperature is 180°F.Temperature limits vary with fluids transported. Consult FPI. Premium grade Vinyl ester resins may be supplied for service temperatures up to 230°F (110°C). Temperature limits vary with service. Pressure classes are de-rated at elevated temperatures. If required for indoor piping, fire-retardants can be added to the resin formulation.
