Wavistrong ™ is Future Pipe's filament wound Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) piping system designed for critical applications on offshore platforms such as cooling water, process, fire lines and drain lines. Wavistrong GRE pipe meets Level 3 Fire endurance requirements of IMO Resolution A. 753(18) and the flame spread requirements of ASTM D635.
Wavistrong-FR ™ pipe feature an additional fire barrier that forms an integral part of the pipe system and is the proven solution for above ground fire mains on offshore platforms where a modified Level 3 rating is required. The "modified" Level 3 requires the pipe to survive a fire test for 5 minutes in a dry conditions, followed by 30 minutes under fire test with flowing water. This is basically the same test requirement as the US Coast Guard's PFM 1-98.
Wavistrong pipes are available in sizes from 1" through 48" and in 1" through 36" for Wavistrong-FR, and in pressure classes of 175, 225, 300 and 350 psig, with adhesive-type Bell/Spigot joints, restrained Bell/Spigot 'O' ring locked joints or with laminated (butt-wrap) joints.
