RED BOX® down-hole tubing and casing pipe is a machine-made composite material produced by filament winding high strength continuous glass fiber filaments and corrosion resistant epoxy resin, especially formulated to result in a structurally and chemically optimum product. The epoxy resin is an aromatic amine, heat cured system that has the highest mechanical strength, thermal resistance and best corrosion resistance of all commercially available resin systems used in the fabrication of fiberglass piping. Red Box Down-hole tubing is used exclusively by many companies operating class 1 Chemical disposal wells.

RED BOX pipe conforms to ASTM Specification D2996 (Designation RTRP-11AT-1334) and ASTM Classification D2310 (Designation RTRP-11AT). De-rating internal and external pressure ratings is required for operating temperatures above 150°F.
JOINING SYSTEM & LENGTHS
RED BOX pipe products are connected with the reliable, time proven integral joint API 8-round external upset end (EUE) long threaded connections up to 4" size, and with casing long and casing short threaded connections for the larger sizes. Filament wound threaded couplings are utilized for the connection of sizes 8" and larger. All sizes are supplied in standard 30" (9.14 m ) laying lengths.
LINER SYSTEMS
RED BOX standard range is supplied with out a liner. For corrosive service, RED BOX pipe may be supplied with a 'C' glass reinforced liner or a Nexus veil reinforced liner.
RED BOX is a high pressure, filament wound glass reinforced epoxy (GRE) pipe with threaded joints used mainly for down-hole tubing and casing for oilfields and brine / chemical disposal wells.
The Standard RB range of diameters is from 2" up to 18" manufactured in Houston, TX. FPI's 18 inch RB pipe is the largest commercially available threaded down-hole tubing pipe in the world. Maximum RED BOX working pressures range from 3500 down to 1500 psi depending on diameter. Pipes are supplied in 30'(9.2 m ) laying lengths.
For chemical well disposal piping, RED BOX pipes can be supplied with additional corrosion resistant liner reinforced with a Nexus veil or C-glass mat. RED BOX piping is manufactured from Aromatic-amine, heat-cured epoxy resin which provides the highest combination of mechanical and chemical resistance for GRE pipe systems.
RED BOX pipes are the preferred piping in Brine disposal wells for RO and water treatment plants.
JOINTS
RB pipes are supplied with integral Pin x Box connections featuring standard API 8-rnd threads. Larger sizes are typically supplied with 6-rnd threaded coupling connections.
