Fiberstrong ™ filament-wound FRP pipe are the long term pipe solution for sanitary gravity sewer lines and force mains. Gravity pipes are manufactured to ASTM D3262 specification in sizes from 16" up to 158" (13 ft !) in diameter in 20 and 40 foot standard lengths. Fiberstrong FRP pipes are available in 4 standard stiffness classes ( SN 18, 36, [46], 72 psi) that enable the pipes to be installed even in the most difficult and demanding conditions. High stiffness pipe (SN 72 psi) allows the pipe to be easily installed and backfilled within the specified deflection limits, to depths of cover close to 50 feet! Future Pipe can also supply FRP structural manholes, manhole bases and manhole liners to completely protect your sewer network.
Pressure sewer pipe are manufactured to ASTM D3754 also in 20 and 40 foot lengths and in standard pressure classes from 50 psi up to 250 psi. . FPI manufactures a complete range of fittings and flanges in all pressure classes and diameters, for use inside and outside valve chambers.
Over the last 20 years, the FPI group has supplied over 1000 miles for gravity sewer and force mains.
ADVANTAGES
- No corrosion from aggressive soils and ground water
- 50 Year design life in aggressive sanitary sewer conditions
- Ideal for use in coastal areas
- Low friction losses ( "C" factor = 150 ), low life cycle costs for pressure pipe
- Light weight (1/10th the weight of concrete pipe), easy and fast installation
- Water tight joints
JOINTS
Standard underground Fiberstrong FRP pipes are supplied with Double bell coupling joints (see picture above). In addition, for force mains, special restrained mechanical (locked) joints or laminated pipe, fittings and joints may also be supplied to allow underground installation without thrust blocks, at changes of direction and x-section. Contact the FPI sales office for details on availability of restrained joint systems.
