Pipes are manufactured to American Water Works Association (AWWA) specification C 950-02, in sizes from 3" up to 158" (13 ft !) in diameter in 20 and 40 foot standard lengths, and in standard pressure classes from 50 psi up to 350 psi for pipe sizes through 96 inch.
